Ina-Garten
Ina Gardner is the writer of many well-known American cooking books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network. It began in 2002. Ina began her career by working at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and policy reports. Though she found the career intellectually stimulating initially eventually she dropped interest and decided to purchase a smaller speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. Before selling the business the store, she worked for 18 years building it into the most successful shop. Many more cookbooks and magazine columns which came later. Meanwhile she also had her own Food Network show was also an enormous success. In addition, she sells everything from cooking equipment to tools and storage containers. Ina did not go to any cookery schools nor was she employed at a restaurant. Her education is completely self-taught. Ina is well-known for her simple style of cooking as well as her easy entertaining. Some of her most popular recipes include the Skillet-Roasted lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
